The Ferrari F40, Porsche 959, AMG Hammer, Buick Grand National. The 80s gave us some great cars. So dear readers, what is your favorite car made in the 1980s?

Give us your take in the comments section. Like my high school history teacher always told me, “There are no wrong answers.”

My take? A part of me will always love the 1985 Dodge Lancer, my first car, but my favorite 80s car will always be the Lamborghini Countach.

  1. Cost No Object:
    1984 Ferrari 288 GTO
    Ferrari’s first supercar!

    Real World:
    1986 Honda Accord sedan.
Still a great automobile 36 years later!

  2. 1985 Mustang GT H.O. At the time it was one of the quickest American made road cars, and it signaled the gradual return of horsepower to the motoring scene.

    • I’m with David Castro. Those Mopar/ Shelby limited production cars of the 80’s were great. I had a 1985 Dodge Shelby Omni GLH, best handling car I have ever owned, then a 1986 Dodge Daytona Turbo Z CS while my son had a 1987 Dodge Lancer Shelby. All amazing cars for their day.
