Joey Logano won the Enjoy Illinois 300 in overtime after passing Kyle Busch on the white flag lap. Busch and Logano dueled throughout OT but Busch moved up the track in turn three of the final lap as Logano cruised by for a victory by .655 seconds

“Kyle and I have raced each other for a long time now,” Logano said after the race. “I even think back to when we raced Xfinity cars before I moved up to Cup. We were racing each other for wins a lot earlier in my career. To still do that today, it’s pretty cool, right? Kyle is one of the best in the sport. I knew it was going to be a slugfest right there until the end.”

It was Logano’s second Cup Series win this season and the 29th of his career. Kyle Busch finished second, followed by his brother Kurt Busch, with Ryan Blaney and Aric Almirola rounding out the Top 5 on Sunday. After 15 races Chase Elliott sits atop the Cup Series standings, followed by Kyle Busch, Ross Chastain, Blaney and Martin Truex Jr.

At the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix on Sunday Will Power held off a hard charging Alexander Rossi to secure his 41st career IndyCar victory and first this season. Power won by 1.0027 seconds, but Rossi stormed back after being behind the race leader by 12.128 seconds with 10 laps left in the race.

“I knew if I could keep a reasonable gap until the end, we’d be OK,” Power said after the race.

Scott Dixon finished third, with Josef Newgarden and Pato O’Ward rounding out the Top 5 on Sunday. Power currently leads the championship standings, followed by Marcus Ericsson, Pato O’Ward, Alex Palou and Josef Newgarden.
