“This 1966 GTO convertible was the recipient of a frame-off restoration around 2012 and was repainted in its original Cameo Ivory (C),” AutoHunter notes in the listing. “A replacement black cloth retractable top was added and the surrounding brightwork was replaced or refinished. Features include quad stacked headlights, a hood scoop, rocker moldings, louvered taillights, and dual polished exhaust outlets.”
The interior has black vinyl low-back bucket seats up front and a rear bench seat. It features a tinted windshield, an AM push-button radio, and a wood-rimmed steering wheel.
Under the hood is a rebuilt 389ci V8 engine with an upgraded tri-power carburetor setup. The car’s original automatic transmission was replaced with a four-speed manual transmission. The uninstalled automatic transmission is included with the sale.
It rides on Silver 14-inch steel Rally I wheels with chrome rings and redline tires.
The sale includes a clear Ohio title, owner’s manual, a license plate frame from the original selling dealer, and documentation.
This GTO’s auction ends on June 9, 2022, at 12:00 p.m. (PDT).
