Featured on AutoHunter, the online auction platform driven by ClassicCars.com, is this 1961 Chevrolet Impala Sport Coupe “Bubble Top”.

“As the body plate indicates, the exterior was originally coated in Ermine White (936),” the listing states. “It was subsequently refinished in black with blue side trim inserts. Features include chrome bumpers, quad headlights, an aluminum grille, fender ornaments, a driver-side mirror, and six taillights with reverse lights.”

It rides on aluminum 5-spoke American Racing Torque Thrust D wheels with radial tires.

The interior is finished in various tones of blue with front and rear bench seats. Amenities include an aftermarket AM/FM radio, power windows, and blue carpeting with blue carpet floor mats.

1961 Chevrolet Impala

Under the hood is a 409ci V8 engine with cast iron exhaust manifolds, an aluminum intake, silver valve covers with 409 logos, and a dual-snorkel closed-element air cleaner. The engine is paired with a 4-speed manual transmission.

This Impala was factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle on an X frame. It features a full-length dual exhaust system and manual drum brakes.
