Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat

A solid 0-60 mph time can be a strong selling point when buying a car.

So dear readers, What is the fastest car you’ve owned?

Let us know in the comments section.

Me? As a self proclaimed Captain Slow I haven’t had many fast cars but I’d say my 1977 Chevrolet C10 would be the quickest.

  1. 70 cuda with a transplant was fast

69 Malibu with a transplanted rebuilt overbored 350 was fast.
Maybe the 69 Plymouth 383 was the fastest. It could smoke the stock tires till there was a 3 story cloud behind the car.

  2. My TESLA model 3 Performance dual motor (449 hp) does 0 to 60 in 3.1 seconds which is still mind-blowing even though I’ve had her for a few years. I love this car, but tend to go through tires a bit more quickly than with previous cars…

  3. 66 Ply Satellite 426 Street Hemi 4-sp I owned from 1968 to 1973.
4.10 Dana & Racer Brown hydraulic cam. It was my daily-driver.😊

  4. 1968 Plymouth GTX with 3.54 rear gears and 375 hp 440. But my 79 trans am with 468 Pontiac 450 hp will surpace it when it is finished.

  5. The one I drive now; 2015 Infiniti Q50 Hybrid AwD.
0 -60 in 4.8 seconds. My Buick Grand National is a close second.

  6. The 2002 Corvette in my garage. I’ve hit ‘a little’ over 100mph on the freeway and she wasn’t even trying hard yet. I had a Camaro Z28 I buried the needle in so that was 140+

  7. My 69 Hemi Roadrunner, Red w/blk interior, 4 spd, totally stock. 2 Carter 4 bls. When those kicked in, it would throw you in the back seat!

  8. I built a chopped 1938 Ford, put a Cadillac engine in it, drove to Bonneville and went 162 MPH. Dragraced it ran 11.21 at 129MPH Owned it for 35 years. Sad I sold it.

  9. For a while I thought my ratty 1988 camaro with a 305 was fast. Currently my heavily-modified 370z is the fastest thing I’ve owned, until I LS3 swap my 1991 camaro.

  10. 2006 Dodge Magnum SRT8. Or my 1955 Plymouth with a 392 Hemi, Chet Herbert roller cam and six two’s.

  11. Fast or quick? My ’04 GTO with the aftermarket 7.0L will run over 140mph all day, with 1700rpm on the tach the tires can’t use.
My ’76 Vega with the stroker 383, race built PowerGlide, and 4.88 gears? Quick, but out of breath at about 115mph.

  12. 1968 Chrysler Newport 2dr HT. Several supposedly fast cars saw the taillights of that car. Ran it on the autobahn in Germany and pushed a of their fast machines to the right lane.
