Featured on AutoHunter, the online auction platform driven by ClassicCars.com, is this 1961 Pontiac Ventura.
This two-owner Ventura bubble top is one of 13,297 produced as a one-year-only body style and the exterior is finished in champagne metallic. It has chrome front and rear bumpers, ear wheel skirts, and dual taillights with blue dots.
“The front bench seat, rear seat, rear interior trim, and door panels are upholstered in tri-tone champagne, dark brown, and cream vinyl,” AutoHunter notes in the listing. “Features include copper carpet with tan carpet floor mats, manual windows, power brakes, power steering, seat belts, a column-mounted automatic shifter, a two-tone copper and champagne steel dashboard, and the original radio.”
Under the hood is a 389ci V8 Pontiac engine with a closed-element air filter, and stamped steel valve covers. The engine is paired with a column-shifted automatic transmission. According to the seller, a new fuel pump and starter solenoid have been installed during their three months of ownership.
It rides on steel wheels with period-correct Pontiac hub caps and whitewall radial tires.
The sale includes a clear Florida title in the seller’s name, original owner’s manuals, and original license plate.
