I have a 1971 Jeepster Commando and love driving it with the kids. They particularly enjoy cruising with the top down.
I rarely take it on the freeway, even though it can do 65 mph no problem. It just doesn’t feel safe compared to the modern cars we now have become accustomed to. I definitely don’t do the freeway with the kids. It’s great for little league games, ice cream and a trip to the grocery store.
I will take your Jeep commando anywhere even on the freeway you just have to adjust for how they used to drive in the 70s having 72 commando absolutely love it but I’m getting too old now I think I want to sell it you’ll have my information if you know of anybody interested in it
Would love to get your 72!
Always loved Jeepsters best!
Have 1943 Jeep
1952 Willy’s
1975 Ford Mutt
Who doesn’t? I have a 1987 wrangler I drive daily during the summer and I’m constantly on the lookout for a 70-72 K5.
Love the old Chevy Blazers! I worked with a guy from ‘75-‘79 that drove a ‘74 then later upgraded to a ‘77.
I still have my 1980 Silverado Blazer with the gear transfer case
I enjoy driving my 1983 C J – 7 Laredo on the highway and on the trails.
