The pony car war started in 1967, when Chevrolet introduced the Camaro to go after the Ford Mustang. Nearly six-decades later the battle continues as both vehicles continue to be iconic American sports cars that use the same formula (two-door coupe, front engine and rear wheel drive) in an effort to top the same market segment.
So dear readers, do you prefer Mustangs or Camaros?

My take? I’ve owned one Camaro, 2012 RS, and I loved it. I have never owned a Mustang but I’m leaning towards a GT when I’m in the market for a new car. I drove a 2021 Mach 1 for a press event and I enjoyed it, but it was one lap. Long story short: I will remain undecided until I have an extended Mustang drive.
I would reply: Mustang. But than i saw this Front Pictur of this Camaro Z 28.
So, i’m confused.

Mustangs, specifically mid ’60s fastbacks. I owned a 2008 Mustang which was very similar in looks to the mid ’60s, and liked it.
Camaro, the Beast that eats Mustangs! My personal favorite is a SS396.
camaro which should include firebird. owned 2 irocs and 4 trans ams. always thought Mustang were too narrow and too high to handle like a camaro
I’ve owned four Mustangs including a new GT500 and now a 1966 red convertible . However, I think both are great and I would totally own a Camaro.
Early, 1st & 2nd gen Camaros, ’69 Z28 the fave. Late model Mustangs, in particular the Voodoo equipped Shelby.
I love them both. May be slightly biased to Mustang. I have a 67 Mustang S code convertible and a 68 stock basic Camaro. I’d love to have a Cuda and a Firebird too! Go pony cars!
I prefer Camaro, especially since I am restoring a 1967 RS numbers matching.
I like both, however I like more years and models of the mustang. So if I had to choose I’d go with the blue oval. My favorites being the 1969 Mach with a 351 Cleveland and defiantly a 302 boss with the dual inline autolite 4s option.
Love em both! But, I have owned several Mustangs and have a 66 GT Fastback and a 70 Mach 1 now. And I’ve never owned a Camaro.
I have owned more Fords that Chevys and like the Mustang over Camaro. In the 60s the Camaro already had half a frame.
