There wasn’t a lot of racing action this past weekend due to Easter, but the NASCAR Cup Series held a dirt race at the Last Great Coliseum. The Food City Dirt Race was held Sunday night at Bristol Motor Speedway and Kyle Busch won in surprising fashion.
Busch was running third on the last lap, behind Tyler Reddick and Chase Briscoe, but those leaders collided in the final turn. With Reddick and Briscoe sideways, Busch scooted past for his first victory of the season. Busch led one lap during the 250-lap race.

Reddick finished second, followed by Joey Logano, Kyle Larson, and Ryan Blaney. Briscoe was listed as 22nd in the final results.
“Doesn’t matter how you get ‘em. It’s all about getting ‘em,” Busch said after race. “Can’t say enough. I mean, man, I feel like Dale Earnhardt Sr. right now (as the crowd booed his unexpected victory). This is awesome. I didn’t do anything.”
Chase Elliott sits atop the season standings after nine races with Blaney, Logano, William Byron and Alex Bowman rounding out the top five.
