AutoHunter Spotlight: Factory Five ’33 Hot Rod

Featured on AutoHunterthe online auction platform driven by ClassicCars.com, is a Factory Five ’33 Hot Rod.

“This Factory Five Racing ’33 Hot Rod was purchased as a kit in 2012, assembled by the seller,” AutoHunter notes in the listing. “Features include an independent front suspension, a 3-link rear suspension, and 4-wheel disc brakes.” 

The fenderless exterior is refinished in 2011 Corvette Supersonic Blue. This 3-window coupe features commercial headlights with integrated turn signals, oval taillights, open hood sides, a metal grille shell, and a quarter panel mounted fuel door. It rides on a pair of Cragar Eliminator 5-spoke wheels with BFGoodrich T/A redline radial tires up front and a pair of black steel wheels with matching tires are mounted out back.

This ’33 Hot Rod has seating for two with black vinyl bucket seats and Simpson Racing harnesses. It features black floor carpeting, aluminum brake and clutch pedals, and the dash has Autometer vintage-style gauges.

 Under the hood is a Ford 351ci Windsor V8 engine built by Flathead City and has MSD ignition, a 4-inch Lunati crankshaft, hydraulic roller lifters, and an Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor. The engine is paired with a Tremec TKO 600 5-speed manual transmission.

The sale includes a Pennsylvania SPC (specially constructed vehicle) title in the seller’s name, build documentation and receipts, a copy of the manufacturer’s certificate of origin, and factory literature.

This Factory Five 33 Hot Rod’s auction ends on April 11, 2022, at 12:20 p.m. (PDT).
