Vintage tractors and trucks headline Gone Farmin’ spring sale

Docket includes 37 trucks from Hays museum collection

-

More than 150 vintage trucks, 350 tractors and nearly 200 lots of road art/farm relics are scheduled to cross the block at Mecum Auctions Gone Farmin’ Spring Classic sale scheduled for March 24-26 at the Bend XPO in East Moline, Illinois.

Featured tractors include a 1926 Bryan Steam Tractor, believed to be the only one of five that exist; an 1898 Case 12 HP Compound Traction Engine; and two steel-wheel crawlers, a Lamborghini and a Minneapolis-Moline.

The vintage trucks on the docket include 37 from the Hays Antique Truck Museum collection, including a 1939-40 Peterbilt Model 260GT 5-ton, believed to be the only first-generation Peterbilt to be offered at auction. Mecum notes that fewer than five such first-generation Peterbilts are known to still exist.
