Pick of the Day: 2015 BMW M3 in gold with extremely low mileage

The 1-owner performance car boasts a 445-horsepower twin-turbo engine

The Pick of the Day is an unusual find in BMW performance, a 2015 BMW M3 sedan in the rare golden-hued color of Austin Yellow Metallic and driven just 5,335 miles by “one meticulous owner,” according to the Benson, North Carolina, dealer advertising the car on ClassicCars.com.

“After careful inspection of this M3, it will be quickly apparent that the previous owner was a car enthusiast,” the dealer says. “The back seat looks as if it has not been used. The interior still retains the new car smell and has no wear present.

“The exterior is still appearing as new with no chips or marks to note. The car is hand washed and the wheels show no wear or brake dust. The rotors are still shiny.”

These hot M3s are most-often found with lots of miles put on by their hot-shoe owners, driven hard and, by six years old like this one, ready for refurbishment.  But this M3 seems to be just starting out in life, and ready to impress its next owner with the startling performance for which they are known.

“Powered by the powerful 3.0-liter straight-6 with twin turbos, this M3 will fly,” the seller says. “The 425-horsepower powerplant is harnessed to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission that shifts lightning fast and is extremely reliable.

“All of this adrenaline comes quickly to a stop with the enormous 6-piston M Series calibers and slotted brakes. The car will rocket the quarter mile in 11.6 seconds stock and will conquer any turn effortlessly. This M3 is the definition of ‘Sheer Driving Pleasure’.”

The M3 comes with its original documentation binder, owner’s manual, quick-reference guide and warranty-information packaged still wrapped in plastic.

“Having only one meticulous owner from new, this car is like buying a new car,” the seller notes.

The M3 does indeed look like new in the large galley of photos with the ad that show nary a bit of wear.  With its eye-catching gold paint, the low-mileage BMW should attract plenty of attention even when standing still, much less rocketing away.

The asking price is $67,500, which is not bad for this barely used German performance machine.
