AutoHunter Spotlight: NASCAR pace truck 2002 Ford Lightning SVT

Low-mileage pickup powered by a supercharged 5.4-liter V8

Featured on AutoHunter, the online auction platform driven by ClassicCars.com, is a 2002 Ford Lightning that was used as a pace truck for the 2002 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at the Homestead-Miami Speedway.

This highly original truck has been driven less than 4,000 miles and is equipped with its original tires and air cleaner.

The silver body, wearing its original paint, features the factory aero kit, a black bed cover over a matching bed liner, twin exhaust tips, and fog lamps.

The truck rides on 18-inch aluminum wheels with SVT center caps and wrapped in the original Goodyear Eagle F1 tires.

Inside the cab, you’ll find gray suede upholstery with black leather SVT inlays, center and overhead consoles, a 6-way power driver’s seat, air conditioning and an AM/FM stereo with a cassette player and 6-disc CD changer.

Under the hood is an SVT supercharged and intercooled 5.4-liter V8 paired with a column-shifted 4-speed automatic transmission with an auxiliary transmission cooler and a Traction-Lok axle.

This Ford pickup’s auction ends December 7 at 12:00 p.m. MST.
