“First launching in 1955 as a personal luxury car, the two-seater Thunderbird went on to be offered in a wide variety of body styles in the subsequent decades,” AutoHunter notes on the T-Bird’s listing. “In 1958, a second generation rolled out that offered additional passenger space, a restyled body, and design features such as quad headlights, pronounced tailfins, and triple-lens taillights for 1960.”
This example was restored in 2006 and repainted in its original Aquamarine paint. The body wears chrome brightwork for the bumpers, window surrounds, sideview mirrors, badging and trunk-mounted antenna.
The interior houses reupholstered two-tone light and dark turquoise bucket seats with matching door panels, dashboard and center console.
Power comes from a 352cid V8 linked to a column-shifted 3-speed Cruise-O-Matic automatic transmission.
The five-digital mechanical odometer reads 3,852 although the seller believes the actual mileage is 103,000.
This Thunderbird’s auction ends November 30 at 12:00 p.m. MST.
