Four Chevrolet vehicles that stand out on the online auction site’s docket

-

AutoHunter, the online auction platform driven by ClassicCars.com, offers a diverse selection of classic and collector vehicles but to celebrate Chevrolet’s 110th anniversary this month, I’m presenting four of my favorite Chevys listed for auction.

1955 Chevrolet 210

By 1955 Chevy began moving away from bubble-like silhouettes and started adorning its model’s shoebox-like attributes such as integrated fenders, flatter panels and wraparound glass.

This mid-range 210 example with a B-pillar post was repainted two-tone green and white in the 1980s and, according to the seller, is rust-free.

The interior is reupholstered in two-tone gray and turquoise cloth and features an analog clock, radio, glove compartment, sliders for the climate control system and a dome light.

Power comes from a 235cid OHV inline-6 linked to a column-shifted Powerglide 2-speed automatic transmission.

1968 Chevrolet Chevelle SS

This is a numbers-matching A-body fastback equipped with its original 396id V8 and 3-speed automatic transmission.

According to the seller, this Chevelle SS left GM’s Framingham, Massachusetts plant finished in Butternut Yellow paint and a black vinyl top. Today it wears a respray in the factory color accented with black stripes.

The all-black interior is furnished with vinyl bucket front seats and a bench seat in the rear. Amenities include a three-spoke steering wheel, a center console with a horseshoe-style automatic shifter and a cassette player.

Believed to be rolled over, the odometer shows 15,265 miles but the true figure is around 115,000 miles.

2020 Chevrolet Corvette 2LT

The release of the C8 in 2020 marked the first time the Corvette came in a mid-engine layout.

This one-owner Stingray 2LT model comes dressed in Torch Red with full-length dual black stripes and a coordinating targe top panel. It’s equipped with a power front-end lift system that can raise the nose two inches, a rear spoiler and quad finishers for the factory-installed performance exhaust system.

The interior is finished in an all-black combination of leather GT1 seats, center console, dash and door panels. Included in the 2LT trim are heated power-adjustable mirrors, a head-up display, heated steering wheel, heated and ventilated seats, wireless charging pad and more.

Power comes from a naturally aspirated 6.2-liter V8 with direct fuel injected and a dry-sump oiling system. It’s linked to an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

1967 Chevrolet Camaro

This first-year Camaro has been with the seller for the past 3 years and was the recipient of an extensive build inclusive of all areas of the car.

Under prior ownership, the car was resprayed in Hugger Orange accented by white racing stripes over the hood and trunk lid.  It’s equipped with a functional cowl induction hood, rear spoiler, side vent windows and new body-mounted pucks.

The interior, refreshed in 2008, is outfitted with two-tone black vinyl and orange houndstooth cloth upholstery and features an aftermarket Bluetooth-equipped stereo system and a Hurst shifter.

Under the hood is a powerful 389cid small-block Chevy stroker V8 paired with a Muncie M214 4-speed manual transmission.
