Up for auction on AutoHunter, the online auction platform driven by ClassicCars.com, is a restored 1978 GMC K15 Royal Sierra pickup in the “Wideside” body style making it one of just 500 produced.

According to the seller, this pickup left the factory finished in Mariner Blue and was equipped with a chrome grille, Soft-Ray tinted glass and a chrome rear bumper. Additional factory features include steps integrated into the sides of the cargo box, a functional vintage sunroof, rear mud flaps, and a 4-inch lift.

1978 GMC K15 Royal Sierra pickup

The interior has a new bench set upholstered with plaid inserts, door panels outlined in metallic trim, and a new dashboard. Amenities include factory air conditioning, power steering and a Pioneer head unit connected to a Pioneer subwoofer behind the seat.

Power comes from a 350cid V8 equipped with Edelbrock aluminum heads and intake manifold. It’s paired with a column-shifted automatic transmission and a 4-wheel drive transfer case with a floor-mounted shifter.

The odometer shows 163,981, which are believed to be original.
