AutoHunter Spotlight: 1950 Chevrolet 3100

Refurbished pickup powered by replacement engine sourced from 1955 model

-

Up for auction on AutoHunter, the online auction platform driven by ClassicCars.com, is a 1950 Chevrolet Series 3100 5-window pickup powered by a replacement 235cid inline-6 cylinder engine sourced from a 1955 model and linked to a 4-speed floor-shifted manual transmission.

According to AutoHunter, this truck has been with the seller for the past 5 years in Fennville, Michigan.

The exterior has been refinished in green and accented with light green pinstriping along the sides, as well as and chrome and stainless steel. It’s equipped with a split-pane windshield, side steps, dual exhaust tips, a newer wood-slatted bed, and a 5-window cab.

Holding up the pickup is a set of Wild Country radials on wheels the seller notes were recently balanced and rotated.

Inside the cab is a bench seat outfitted in newer cloth upholstery with matching door panels. The body-color-matched dash houses the truck’s radio and gauges that reportedly are all in working condition.

The engine received a full service in 2020, including a new HEI ignition system, the addition of a manifold heating system, and new carburetor and air cleaner.

The seller reports the suspension was overhauled in 2020 with new leaf springs, bushings and shocks.

This Chevy Truck’s auction ends October 21 at 12:00 p.m. PDT.
