Ferrari, in collaboration with The Little Car Company, a firm that specializes in the production of junior cars, has released a new limited-edition series of 1957 250 Testa Rossa replicas.

“A key track protagonist in the 1950s and 1960s, the 250 Testa Rossa is one of the all-time great Ferraris, distinguished by its lengthy list of honors and its longevity,” The Little Car Company says in its press release announcing the collaboration.

“The car claimed some 18 victories in its history, and three championship titles in 1958, 1960 and 1961. It is also the only Ferrari to have won the 24 Hours of Le Mans four times – in 1958, 1960, 1961 and 1962.”

Ferrari worked closely with the firm to design a meticulous rendition drivable for anyone over the age of 14 years old.

The body is constructed from hand-beaten aluminum and then painted using the same process as Ferrari’s present road car range.

“To accurately recreate the intricate chassis of the 250 Testa Rossa, the original paper drawings from the Ferrari Classiche Department were scanned and digitally recreated,” the company explained. “The junior car retains the same steering and suspension geometry, giving it authentic handling to match its original appearance.”

The interior houses a single seat, just big enough to fit a teenager and one adult passenger, upholstered in the same high-quality leather found in modern Ferraris.

The steering wheel is made by Nardi, which also made the steering wheel in the 1957 models.

“The classic dials have been remastered and repurposed for their new role in an electric car, but retain the original design and fonts,” the manufacturer added.

Packed with three batteries, these replicas have a 90-kilometer range (55 miles) and supply the car four different driving modes: novice mode for up 20 km/h (12.5 mph); comfort mode for 45 km/h (28 mph); and sport and race mode that both help this speedster reach 60 km/h (37 mph).

Ferrari and The Little Car Company are producing just 299 units for the outstanding price of €93,00 ($109,724).

Buyers can choose from 14 historical liveries, 53 body colors, and can even create a personalized racing livery.
