Featured on AutoHunter, the online auction platform driven by ClassicCars.com, is this 1946 Chevrolet pickup truck that was the recipient of a restoration in 2016 with a full repaint, interior overhaul and new bed planks.
“From 1941 through 1947, Chevrolet light-duty trucks rode on General Motors’ A-platform which was shared with the Chevrolet Deluxe passenger car,” the auction site says in the truck’s listing.
See the video below for a walk-around tour of the truck:
Originally finished in two-tone red and cream paint, the body was refinished in green with a light green cab stripe that’s offset with black fenders and running boards.
The body features a two-piece windshield, a waterfall-style chrome grille, new wood planks and hardware in the bed and scripted tailgate lettering.
Inside the cab sits a reupholstered black vinyl bench and a green color-matched dash.
Power comes from the original 216cid inline-6 connected to a rebuilt 4-speed manual transmission and floor-mounted shift lever.
This Chevy truck’s auction ends July 28 at 1:00 p.m. PDT.
