Up for auction on AutoHunter, the online auction platform driven by ClassicCars.com, is a 1956 Oldsmobile Super 88 Holiday hardtop coupe powered by its factory 324cid V8 connected to an automatic transmission.
Originally a Texas car, the seller purchased this Oldsmobile in 2009 and brought it to California where it’s remained since.
The body is finished in two-tone red and white and accented with chrome and stainless trim lines. It features a significantly larger front grille than the prior models and, according to the seller, is in excellent condition overall.
Matching the exterior, the interior is finished in red upholstery throughout with fresh carpeting recently installed on the floors. The air conditioning has been updated to a Vintage Air system and a custom Pioneer stereo is hidden in the glove box.
Under the hood, the “Oldsmobile Rocket” V8 has been recently serviced and is complete with factory valve covers.
The odometer shows 49,490 miles, although true mileage is unknown.
This Oldsmobile’s auction ends July 16 at 11:140 p.m. PDT.
