Up for auction on AutoHunter, the online auction platform driven by ClassicCars.com, is this 1949 Chevrolet 3600 five-window pickup that was the recipient of a cosmetic refurbishment and rebuilt drivetrain.
“Chevrolet’s ‘Advanced Design’ pickups launched in 1947 featuring a split front windshield, curved fenders, and running boards along with cargo-hauling light and medium-duty utility,” the auction company says in the truck’s listing.
This 1949 example received a custom paint job in bronze and black accented by chrome-finished bumpers. In addition, the wood planks in the bed have been replaced, and a Chevrolet logo was applied in block letter on the tailgate.
Inside the cab sits a reupholstered black vinyl bench and a bronze dash that houses a push-button radio.
Power comes from a rebuilt Thriftmaster 216cid inline-6 paired with a 4-speed manual transmission and a floor-mounted shift lever.
The odometer shows 44,747 miles, although true chassis mileage is unknown.
This Chevy 3600’s auction ends July 8 at 12:40 p.m. PDT.
