Mecum Auctions Gone Farmin’ division has announced an addition to its sales calendar for June 18, when it disperses the David J. Sniader Estate of 20 lots of vintage farm equipment.
The auction will be held at the Walworth County Fairgrounds in Elkhorn, Wisconsin, and all lots will be offered at no reserve, Mecum noted.
“The late David J. Sniader was a true-blue tractor enthusiast; it was his family’s Midwest farm and tradition of attending farm-related fairs and festivals that first ignited his passion and desire to collect vintage tractors and implements, and throughout the years, he discerningly assembled a private collection of rare, desirable and high-quality farm equipment,” Mecum said in its announcement.

Featured tractors include a restored 1920 Avery 40-80 with a unique opposed 4-cylinder, valve-in-head engine equipped with a unique Pickering Governor setup; a steam-powered 1907 Avery 18 HP; a 1924 Rumely 16-30 H; and an 1885 Sandwich Hay Press believed to be the only one of its kind restored to full function.
