Low mileage is always a major plus when considering a collector car or truck, so here’s a batch of offerings on AutoHunter – the online auction platform driven by ClassicCars.com – each with low odometer readings and each one a special vehicle in its own right.
Driven just over 43,000 miles, this big SUV looks to be in exceptional condition. The Ramcharger is “unmodified from stock,” the seller says, although it has had a professionally applied respray in the factory color of Graphic Red that looks fresh on a straight body. The interior and undercarriage also look very clean.
Power is supplied by a 360cid V8 linked with a 3-speed automatic transmission and part-time 4-wheel drive with a 2-speed transfer case.
Standing on a set of all-terrain tires, the Dodge looks ready to tackle tough terrain, although one might think twice about any off-road activity that might mar its fine appearance.
Ford’s answer to Chevy’s original Impala SS, the Marauder was, as Elwood of the Blues Brothers would describe it, a hopped-up police car with a “cop motor … cop tires, cop brakes, cop suspension…” Along with that, however, came the styling and luxury upgrades of the Mercury brand. It was a cool cruiser that deserved more love than it got at the time.
This one has been driven an inexplicably low 2,981 miles by its single owner.
“The factory floor mats remain wrapped in plastic in the trunk, along with the trunk organizer, and unworn Marauder leather jacket,” the seller says in the ad description. “Carpeting is protected by factory-applied plastic, and equipment remains factory unmodified including original BFGoodrich G-Force T/A tires.”
This classic Chevy 2-door sedan has been sympathetically resto-modded with a repaint in Powder Blue with stainless trim and a billet-style grille, and riding on a set of 15-inch American Racing wheels. Under the hood is a 383 stroker V8 with Edelbrock valve covers and aluminum heads, linked to a 4-speed manual transmission and 9-inch rear with 4.11:1 gearing.
The interior and dashboard have been gorgeously refurbished and upgraded, though again with an eye on original design.
The mileage listed by the seller is just 14,835, although it’s unclear whether that’s total miles or just since the Chevy’s rebirth. No matter, really, since this one looks like it was done right.
The final year of Corvette’s first generation, this attractive roadster in Honduras Maroon has been treated to a solid-lifter 327cid V8 rated at 360 horsepower and fitted with “a period-correct fuel-injection system’” the seller notes. That beefy small block is linked to a 4-speed manual transmission.
With just about 5,000 miles driven since its restoration, the Corvette retains its factory-correct appearance, down to its original-style interior and full spinner hubcaps. The only change is the addition of “fuel-injection” insignias beneath the wings emblems on the fenders, the seller notes.
