Today’s AutoHunter Spotlight is on a 1930 Ford Model A Coupe that’s been owned by the same family for over 50 years. According to the seller, this coupe served as their mode of transportation to high school and has seen varied weekend use.
The car’s exterior, interior and mechanicals were given a refresh in 2000 and a 12-volt electrical system conversion was also performed sometime during the car’s life.
Resprayed in a pale yellow, the body wears black fenders and running boards, a louvered engine cover, rumble seat and a stainless-steel trim.
The interior is finished in a black channel-stitched, tweed upholstery and houses ‘modern’ driving controls that represented Ford’s departure from the configuration used on its previous models.
Power comes from a 201cid L-head inline-four paired with a 3-speed sliding-mesh manual transmission.
This Model A’s auction ends June 9 at 12:20 p.m. PDT.
