AutoHunter Spotlight: 1946 GMC Wedgeback with 1961 Nash Metropolitan

-

Today’s AutoHunter Spotlight is on not one but two classics that come as a package deal — a 1946 GMC COE wedgeback vehicle hauler and a 1961 Nash Metropolitan.

The GMC truck was modified by the seller to include a custom-made wedgeback bed constructed from walnut, anigre and curly oak to transport vehicles. Other custom woodwork includes a bumper made of cherrywood and matching burled walnut caps.

According to the seller, the cab was completely stripped and resprayed while also given a pair of modern seats.

Powering the GMC is the original rebuilt inline-six engine factory rated at 89.5 horsepower.

Strapped onto the GMC’s ramp bed is a 1961 Nash Metropolitan with new chrome trim. The seller noted the Nash’s interior is in need of some work.

The auction for this GMC vehicle hauler and Nash Metropolitan ends May 25 at 11:20 a.m. PDT.
