Today’s AutoHunter Spotlight is on a restored 1960 Austin-Healey Bugeye Sprite Mk I roadster.

An award-winning car, this Austin-Healey is an Antique Automobile Club of America Junior, Senior and Grand National first-place winner.

During the restoration, the Austin-Healey was resprayed in a Cherry Red paint and given a new black cloth top and tonneau cover.

The interior was refurbished in black with new upholstery and matching door panels. The seller also notes new weather stripping was installed on doors, hood and windshield.

Powering the roadster is a matching numbers 948cc inline-4 with dual SU carburetors and is mated to a 4-speed manual gearbox. The engine received an extensive refurbishment within the last 3,000 miles, including new head gaskets, thermostat, valve guides and cover seals, battery, spark plugs and more.

The odometer shows 51,000 miles, although true mileage is unknown.

This Austin-Healey’s auction ends April 23 at 11:40 p.m. PDT.
