Today’s AutoHunter Spotlight is on a custom-built 1972 Plymouth Barracuda powered by a 550 horsepower 6.4-liter Hemi V8 mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission offered at no reserve.
The Barracuda’s body is finished in Dodge Destroyer Grey 2K urethane paint with custom strobe-stripe graphics running along the sides of the de-badged and shaved body. Other modifications to the body include a narrowed nose, Demon-style Dart Hemi hood, LED lighting and a modern front valance.
Restored and modified, the Barracuda’s interior is trimmed in custom black leather with white diamond stitching and equipped with a 2016 Dodge Challenger console, slap stick shifter, and racing harness.
Modern interior features include a double-din stereo head unit with back-up camera, navigation, Bluetooth and WiFi, and a Holley digital dash with GPS speed, 8K tachometer and climate control.
The 16,000 mile 2016 6.4-liter Hemi V8 has new bearings, rings, cam phasers and timing chains. Upgrades include a Holley Sniper intake, Holley Terminator X Max ECU, TiTi Performance 2-inch ceramic-coated headers, a Hellcat throttle body, and many more.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 6,000-mile 2018 TorqueFlite 8-speed automatic.
