AutoHunter Spotlight: 1974 MG MGB

Single-family-owned roadster up for auction

-

If you’ve been on the hunt for a sporty yet affordable convertible, check out the 1974 MGB roadster that AutoHunter, the online auction platform driven by ClassicCars.com, has up for auction.

Single-family-owned, this sports car was repainted Forest Green in 1994 and features a black vinyl convertible top. The seller tells us that taking the top down is quick and easy, only taking a minute or two.

Chrome bumpers with rubber overriders are fitted at the front and rear of the body.

At the time the seller had the body repainted, the black vinyl interior was refinished. The ad notes that the aftermarket Clarion radio/cassette system in the dash is not working.

The 1.8-liter 4-cylinder engine features twin SU carburetors and is mated with a 4-speed manual transmission and recently replaced clutch. The brake master cylinder is also new.

The odometer reads 88,000 miles, which the seller states are original to the car.

The auction ends February 10 at 12:30 p.m. MST.
