The RM Sotheby’s auction celebrating Scuderia Ferrari’s milestone 1,000th Grand Prix participation reached an impressive €1,680,840 ($2,043,657) from 16 lots of significant Ferrari racing memorabilia and track experiences.

The top-selling item, a full-scale Ferrari SF1000 Formula 1 display car, sold for a surprising €1,272,000 ($1,546,300), more than six times the pre-sale high estimate of €200,000 ($243,000).

The non-running showpiece was hand-signed by team drivers Charles Leclerc and Sebastian Vettel.

The auction, named Online Only: Once in a Millennium, was held in celebration of Scuderia Ferrari’s milestone 1,000th Grand Prix, which took place at Mugello, Italy, on September 11-13. The Italian team raced its first World Championship Grand Prix in Monaco on May 21, 1950.
