AutoHunter: Online auction site launches with more than 30 vehicles

AutoHunter, the newest online auction platform for classic and modern collectible vehicles, has officially launched with more than 30 vehicles up for auction and new vehicles being listed each day. Created by ClassicCars.com, the world’s largest online collector car marketplace, AutoHunter offers a dedicated live customer-support team, a quicker auction listing process, and exclusive benefits to buyers and sellers.

Highlight launch vehicles include a one-owner 1989 Porsche 911 Turbo cabriolet with only 36,000 original miles. Finished in black over black interior, this 911 is powered by an air-cooled 3.3-liter turbocharged flat-6 engine. Other highlight auction listings include a 1968 Chevrolet Corvette 427/435 convertible finished in Corvette Bronze over dark orange, and a steel-bodied 1932 Ford Custom Roadster once owned by Rick Harrison from the popular television show Pawn Stars.

Highlighting the low-mile lineup is a 3,000 original miles 1992 Ford Mustang LX Summer Edition convertible finished in Performance Red over a white leather interior and powered by a 5.0-liter V8 engine paired with a 5-speed manual transmission.

Also among low-mileage vehicles are an unmodified 1990 Mazda RX-7 convertible with only 15,000 original miles; a 1996 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra convertible with only 5,000 original miles (#2416 of 2510 built for the 1996 model year); and an 8,000-mile 1988 Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z finished in Gunmetal Metallic over Medium Gray cloth interior powered by a 5.7-liter TPI V8 engine.

Among other interesting vehicles live on AutoHunter are:

  • 1969 Oldsmobile 442 W30 – Powered by a 400ci V8 engine mated to a 4-speed manual transmission and owned by notable Oldsmobile collector, Fred Mandrick.
  • 2003 Ferrari 360 Modena F1 – Powered by a 3.6-liter V8 paired with a six-speed sequential F1 transmission, with 22,000 miles.
  • 1992 Toyota OJ55 Bandeirante Pickup – Produced exclusively for the Brazilian market and recently undergoing a complete cosmetic and mechanical restoration prior to being imported to the United States.
  • 1968 Jaguar XKE Series 1.5 Coupe – Fully restored in 2017 and powered by the original 4.2-liter inline-6 engine mated to a 4-speed manual transmission.
  • 1992 Mercedes-Benz 300SL – One of only 1 of 25 manual transmission examples produced for the US market for the 1992 model year and powered by a 3.0-liter DOHC M104 inline-6 with only 49,000 original miles.

Bidder registration can be completed at AutoHunter.com with no credit card necessary until the first bid is placed. The bidder fee on an auction listing is 6.5 percent of the hammer price, with a fee-cap at $6,500. This fee is collected from the winning bidder’s account immediately after the winning bid is announced.
