When you are Christian von Koenigsegg, you have much going for you. You create some of the most exclusive cars in the world and live a charmed life. Who knew he and his group would have such a lively sense of humor? They certainly put together an interesting piece called Time to Reign.
Released on Friday July 10, Time to Reign: A Koenigsegg Mini Blockbuster, filmed and produced entirely by the company and its employees internally, show what happens when a team of creative car builders are stuck at home and not attending car events all over the world.
It’s silly. It’s well photographed. It has Volvos blowing up – which I particularly liked. It’s a daydream of a car mogul and fun to watch. Clearly a lot of thought and $$$ went into the production. Clearly the Koenigsegg operation has some rather talented personnel.
Christian von Koenigsegg himself, comes from a fascinating lineage dating back to the 12th century in Bavaria. He has been obsessed with the automobile from a very young age. It is said he watched a Norwegian cartoon called The Pinchcliffe Grand Prix and was hooked. At age 6, he drove a go-kart for the first time and still refers to it as “one of the best days of his life.”
He has certainly had a few good days since then.
