Feature Film: Born 2 Race: Fast Track (2014)

The sequel is still a fun trip

-

A coming-of-age story, fast cars, fun action scenes, a kind of cheesy and predictable plot, but hey, if you liked The Fast and the Furious for its photography, this is a nice trip.

For the original, there is Born 2 Race on Netflix. Both are surprisingly fun. If you are a muscle car guy who is not fond of Japanese tuner cars you may want to skip it. However, the racing sequences and stunt driving in the film is worthy of a look.

The storyline according to IMDB says, “Danny Krueger is a 20-year old street racer who plays by his own rules. After winning a scholarship to the prestigious Fast Lane Racing Academy, Danny finds himself competing against some of the fiercest young drivers in the world. Tension soars on and off the track, and a terrible incident leaves Danny without a racing partner. Facing dismissal from the academy, Danny is forced to team up with an old rival. The pair must learn to set aside their differences as they vie for rookie spots on a professional racing team.”
