Audi toasts ‘quattro de Mayo’ with 3 car cutouts to build

The folded-paper projects can be downloaded, printed and pieced together

Audi celebrates its self-proclaimed corporate holiday, “quattro de Mayo,” by publishing three cutouts that mark 40 years of its signature quattro all-wheel-drive technology.

The first is of a 1980s Sport quattro S1 rally car (shown above), which is where quattro  began. It was so dominant that it transformed rally racing, Audi says. Later, quattro was called “the unfair advantage” when introduced in touring car racing.

The second cutout is of the Audi R8, the mid-engine supercar equipped with a 5.2-liter V10 engine in its current generation. With quattro and 602 horsepower, the R8 provides the driver with the taste of driving a road-going race car.

The third cutout is of the Audi e-tron, which shows where the automaker is taking  quattro technology, with two electric motors powering all four wheels.

Audi would like to see your finished cutout project, which can be done by tweeting @AudiNews with a picture of your artwork and the #AudiTogether hashtag.
