ClassicCars.com Journal East Coast Editor, Andy Reid, an absolute fixture on the concours circuit, has gotten together with some of his well-known fellow concours judges and decided to throw a virtual concours — with real judging and real prizes. The difference here is Andy has asked the world to look on their shelves, toy boxes, man caves and garages and present their favorite die-cast models.
Structured like a typical concours d’ elegance, there are 11 categories for judging and, so far, some pretty fabulous entires.
The editors at ClassicCars.com, Tom Stahler, Larry Edsall and Bob Golfen will be judging the “ClassicCars.com Editor’s Choice award, presented by Mother’s Waxes and Polishes.” The prize is a Detail Kit from Mother’s polishes and waxes (Value $150).

So, forget the $25 burger. Go microwave a $.50 burrito, grab a cold one and sit back and enjoy the entries in the following photo galleries.

Loved the 1958 Edsel & 1961 Dodge! The Edsel is an original, 61 year old 1/25th scale kit from AMT. The Dodge is, I believe, a 1/18th scale contemporary, from NEO. Would love to see a category of American cars say, 1946-1967 then 1968 to present, as you did with the race cars. An avid model car collector myself, this new site is alot of fun!
Glad you like it Clifton. It certainly is a slight distraction from the world as we know it at the moment.
Correction, the Edsel is a 62 year old kit, please edit.
Hopefully they will allow motorcycles soon?
