The Sunset Automotive Group comprises 14 primarily luxury car dealerships in Sarasota, Venice and Bradenton, Florida. But in early November, the new car dealer group will join with Carlisle Auctions to present a two-day classic and collector car auction.

The sale, scheduled for November 8-9 with 400 vehicles consigned to cross the auction block, will take place at the intersection of Sawyer Loop and Clark roads in Sarasota.

Among the consignments are a 1949 Chevrolet Suburban resto-mod, a single-family owned 1967 Mercury Cougar Dan Gurney edition, a “rare color combo” 1957 Chevrolet Corvette, a single-owner 1970 Ford F250, a 1972 Buick GS Stage 1 and a 2010 Aston Martin Rapide driven less than 10,000 miles since new.

“These six are just a few examples of the power, style and excellence slated to cross the block,” Carlisle Auctions said in its news release.

But wait, there’s more, the Pennsylvania-based auction company added.

“Via a partnership with Corsa 7 Motorsports from Sarasota, a pair of high-end exotics will be on display.”

Those cars are a 2014 race-prepared 2014 Lamborghini Super Trofeo Evo and a 1-of-5 Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus SCG 003CS.
