The DBX is Aston Martin’s new and first sport utility-styled vehicle coming to market in 2020 not only will offer a 542 horsepower twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 from AMG but 11 accessory packages to ensure that vehicles “can be tailored to specific lifestyle needs.”
Among the accessories to be available at vehicle launch are:
Pet Pack, including a partition “to give animals their own space in the boot of the car, keeping them from roaming inquisitively about the cabin.” The set up includes a bumper protector “to keep the paintwork pristine when scrabbling paws are clambering in and out of the vehicle.”
“If muddy puddles have been an integral feature of a day’s activities,” Aston Martin adds, “then the portable washer is an ideal solution for keeping the countryside on the outside of the car.”
Snow Pack, with a ski bag, roof-mounted ski rack and snow chains for the tires. Snow Pack includes a boot warmer.
Touring Pack, with a 4-piece set of luggage, cabin “saddle bags,” a lockable storage space under the front passenger seat and a first-aid kit. An optional setup includes 6 instead of 4 pieces of luggage.
Essentials Pack, designed “to provide a little extra cosseting on the school run or on the way to the office,” includes a center-console organizer, rear-seat entertainment holder and heated beverage cup.
Protection Pack, with seat covers, rear bumper protector and all-weather floor mats.
Event Pack, with picnic hamper, blanket, picnic seats and umbrella storage.
Bike Pack, with a roof-mounted bike holder and a portable washer.
Also available will be leather-trimmed baby and child seats.
Pricing for the various accessories has not been announced. The DBX will be produced in a new assembly plant in Wales with production beginning in the first half of 2020.
