DBX, Aston Martin’s first sport utility vehicle, goes through cold-weather testing in Sweden

The DBX is Aston Martin’s new and first sport utility-styled vehicle coming to market in 2020 not only will offer a 542 horsepower twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 from AMG but 11 accessory packages to ensure that vehicles “can be tailored to specific lifestyle needs.”

Among the accessories to be available at vehicle launch are:

Pet Pack is one of many special accessories to be offered with the DBX

Pet Pack, including a partition “to give animals their own space in the boot of the car, keeping them from roaming inquisitively about the cabin.” The set up includes a bumper protector “to keep the paintwork pristine when scrabbling paws are clambering in and out of the vehicle.”

“If muddy puddles have been an integral feature of a day’s activities,” Aston Martin adds, “then the portable washer is an ideal solution for keeping the countryside on the outside of the car.”

Snow Pack, with a ski bag, roof-mounted ski rack and snow chains for the tires. Snow Pack includes a boot warmer.

Touring Pack includes rear-seat ‘saddlebag’

Touring Pack, with a 4-piece set of luggage, cabin “saddle bags,” a lockable storage space under the front passenger seat and a first-aid kit. An optional setup includes 6 instead of 4 pieces of luggage.

Essentials Pack, designed “to provide a little extra cosseting on the school run or on the way to the office,” includes a center-console organizer, rear-seat entertainment holder and heated beverage cup. 

Protection Pack, with seat covers, rear bumper protector and all-weather floor mats.

Event Pack, with picnic hamper, blanket, picnic seats and umbrella storage.

Bike Pack, with a roof-mounted bike holder and a portable washer.

Also available will be leather-trimmed baby and child seats.

DBX will be British luxury brand’s first SUV

Pricing for the various accessories has not been announced. The DBX will be produced in a new assembly plant in Wales with production beginning in the first half of 2020.

  1. Perfect. Subaru led the way with a ‘Dog Edition’ that certainly caught the attention of dog owners, and those of us who rescue dogs. Of course, Subaru, nice as their vehicles may be, does not
    necessarily fill the needs of some car enthusiasts. Aston Martin has obviously stepped in to address this void.
