Coco floor mats are back, and in multiple colors

Back in the day (I’m talking here about the late 1960s and early 1970s), at least some of us living in climates where winter meant snow and slush equipped our cars with floor mats made from coconut fibers. My recollection is that they were not horribly expensive and kept the slushy mess off the car’s carpets.

Fast forward a few decades and GGBailey releases a new addition to its line of premium, custom-fit car mats — Coco Mats, and now they’re not only for the floor of your car but also for the trunk/cargo area. And instead of being pretty much available in a natural beige color, they are woven fibers and available in a variety of hues.

“Our new Classic Coco Car and Trunk Mats are made from coconut fibers, a sustainable and natural fiber that have been used for decades for their durability, strength and classic appearance,” the company says.

“Coco Mats are a woven mat that look great, protect your original carpet, while also hiding dirt.”

Also, GGBailey adds, the materials are natural and sustainable, have color-matched heel pads on the driver’s side, 100 percent vegan-leather edging, and are compatible with factory anchoring devices.
