Carlisle Truck Nationals provides 1,700 vehicle showcase

-

More than 1,700 vehicles were arrayed on the show field for the recent Carlisle Truck Nationals in eastern Pennsylvania. The gathering was the largest since 2003, said officials of Carlisle Events.

The weekend featured monster-truck shows and rides, a SyTys showcase of the Cool Club Challenge winners, a Vanarama and a big-rig show and shine.

There also were many trucks decked out in tribute to military personnel and first-responders, and in patriotic colors.

Live music filled the air and featured Nashville recording artist and American Idol contestant Payton Taylor.

The weekend also included drop and drag, burnouts, high truck, low-truck limbo and other competitions, as well as a flea market and product sales midway that included installation opportunities.
