Retro-styled sports car to launch at Salon Privé

-

Anthony Jannarelly set out to build a retro-styled, rear-drive, two-seat roadster that provided the driving experience he wanted in a car he owned. Apparently satisfied with the result, the Jannarelly Design-1 will be introduced in early September at the Salon Privé concours in London.

Jannarelly was the designer of the W Motors Lykan HyperSport, a luxury sports car produced in the Middle East.

Nissan V6 powered ultra-lightweight sports car

“I was often asked if I drove a Lykan and the more I said no, the more I wondered what kind of car I would like to drive on a daily basis,” Jannarelly is quoted in a concours news release.

“I started sketching some ideas during a flight and then met my now partner, Frederic Juillot, who made boats and composite parts and is also based in Dubai.”

Combining their skills, they produced the first Jannarelly Design-1. Their plan is to produce as many as 499 units of a car that weighs less than 1,800 pounds. The cars will be powered by a 3.5-liter Nissan V6.

Several options are available

Buyers of those cars can select such options as hardtop or canopy-covered roof, a lower windshield header, and from various custom interior features.
