Andy Reid will lead two Monterey auction tours

-

Once again, ClassicCars.com will offer free guided auction tours featuring Andy Reid during Monterey Car Week.

The tours will take place on Wednesday, August 14. The first will visit the site of the Bonhams auction at The Quail Lodge in Carmel Valley, beginning at 10 a.m. The second will visit the RM Sotheby’s auction venue in downtown Monterey, beginning at 3 p.m.

The Bonhams tour is open to 35 people; the RM Sotheby’s visit is limited to  25 guests.

Reid is East Coast editor for the ClassicCars.com Journal and our auction expert. He bought his first car — a 1968 Fiat 124 — when he was 15 years old, and his second, on which he squandered his college savings, was a 1966 Ferrari 330 GT 2+2. Since then he’s owned more than 150 collector vehicles, including motorcycles.

He not only knows the vehicles but has wonderful stories about his experiences behind the wheel — and under the hood. He also knows the ins and outs of buying and selling at auction.

The tours are presented by Shriners Hospitals for Children.

The tour is offered free of charge, though registration is required.

To register, please see this form.

  1. I was just wondering if you are going to do the tours in Scottsdale Az. in Jan. of 2020. Went on the tours 2 years ago and really enjoyed them.
