James Bond movie promo car on display in NYC

-

The 1965 James Bond 007 Aston Martin DB5 used as part of the movie promotion effort will be on public display at Sotheby’s New York headquarters building through the month of July, the auction company has announced.

The car, with functional movie spy gear, will be offered for sale during RM Sotheby’s Monterey auction in August.

“Having had just three private owners from new, the DB5 is presented during RM Sotheby’s ‘An Evening of Aston Martin’ single-marque sale session in Monterey, 15 August, in beautifully restored condition, with all gadgets in fully functioning order,” RM Sotheby’s reports.

“An incredibly rare and exciting example of what has been deemed ‘the most famous car in the world,’ the DB5 offers a highly desirable acquisition for the serious collector.”
