You know Eleanor, but what about the other cars in ‘Gone in 60 Seconds’?

-

If I say “Eleanor,” chances are you immediately think about the 1967 Shelby Mustang GT500 from the movie Gone in 60 Seconds.

“Eleanor” became an icon within the collector car community, right up there with another famous movie Mustang, the one from Bullitt.

But while you immediately recognize “Eleanor” for the role she played in Jerry Bruckheimer’s 2000 remake of H.B. Halicki’s 1974 film, I’m guessing if I say “Angelina” you’re thought is of Angelina Jolie, who co-started in the remake with Nicolas Cage, not of the 1999 Ferrari 550 Maranello given the name “Angelina” on the movie’s cars-to-steal blackboard listing.

Angelina Jolie was a co-star in ‘Gone in 60 Seconds’ but ‘Angelina’ also was the name given to the 1999 Ferrari 550 Marinello the team was assigned to steal
