Rtech Fabrications has developed and is producing replacement dash panels for 1967-72 Chevrolet and GMC trucks.
“We created the Double DIN Dashboard for our custom builds, Rtech Fabrications founder Randall Robertson is quoted in the company’s announcement. “Our customers often want modern electronics in their classic trucks. We build this complete dash panel from scratch as a superior solution to the cut-and-paste jobs people often do to add a modern head unit.”
The panel uses 16- and 18-gauge sheet metal, “exceeding OE specifications,” the company said.

The panel “is a direct replacement for the factory piece and is fabricated to accept modern 7×4-inch head units,” Rtech Fabrications added.
“Further, the dash uses stock mounting provisions and is designed to accommodate the factory dash pad, gauges/instrument panel, and glovebox. Two basic versions are available: standard and with a cut-out for the factory A/C control panel.
The panel has a base price of $1,159 and Rtech, based in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, offers custom paint or powder coating, an ashtray delete, and modern gauges from Dakota Digital or other suppliers.
