Supercar producer Pagani Automobili and driving shoemaker Piloti say they have collaborated on their areas of expertise to produce the Roadster Driving Boot.
“The product launch is the culmination of a two-year collaboration with luxury Italian supercar maker Pagani Automobili, and celebrates the two brands’ passion for technological innovation and world-class design,” Piloti said in its product announcement.
“Though we come from different industries, Pagani and Piloti share countless similarities,” Michael Staskin, head of global brand licensing for Pagani Automobili, was quoted in the news release. “We both share an unwavering commitment to craftsmanship and creativity in developing leading edge products to which all consumers can aspire.”
Like Pagani vehicles, the new driving boot is crafted in Italy. It features a pliable carbon fiber panel for strength and reduced weight.
“The malleable four-way flex is designed to move in tandem with every shift and step of the driver’s foot,” Piloti said.
The boots feature anodized aluminum hardware, Pagani’s 4-pipe exhaust emblem, low-profile cushioning and Piloti’s Roll Control 2.0 heel technology. The shoes also come in a box that slides apart and mimics the operation of a gull-wing door.
Only 250 pairs of the limited-edition footwear are being made and are available at $849 per set through the Piloti website.
