Barrett-Jackson announced six new officially licensed products Monday — including a hot rod truck — the same day its annual Scottsdale auction got under way.
“Collaborating with respected automotive brands to create new products makes this hobby even more exciting for collectors and enthusiasts,” Craig Jackson, chairman and CEO of Barrett-Jackson, said in a news release. “Each of our new licensees are visionary leaders in their respective markets and have a best-in-class approach to creating quality products.
The most expensive new item is undoubtedly the Barrett-Jackson Edition 1955 Hot Rod Full Truck kit offered by Factory Five. The more ambitious among us can buy the fully engineered kit for home assembly or, for those who aren’t ready to build a car, Factory Five can have it assembled for you.
A concept of the customizable full truck kit will be sold at the Scottsdale auction and the second kit will be assembled during the seven-day event. The third kit, VIN 003, will be the first available to order.
The kit starts just below $35,000 and includes everything needed to build the complete, finished truck.
Adam’s Polishes will offer a Barrett-Jackson branded detail, tire shine and glaze sprays, in addition to a full detail kit.
“We’re especially excited to break new ground with the Barrett-Jackson car care product line from Adam’s Polishes,” Jackson said.
Another detailing company, Eurow, now offers special wash mitts and drying towels, among other products, and Sherwin-Williams offers specialized rod and restoration color programs.
If you’re going to spend money to get your classic looking great, you might as well keep it safe. Bridgepoint now has special Barrett-Jackson car insurance, while Covercraft will protect the outside of the car and Smart Step Premium Performance Mats will have the inside looking clean.
The final new Barrett-Jackson licensed product is a range of steel garage-storage cabinets made by Proslat.
“We’re very happy to partner with each of these highly reputable companies,” Steve Davis, president of Barrett-Jackson, said in the release. “From building your own Barrett-Jackson Edition Hot Rod Truck to the very best in car care, garage cabinets and flooring, each of these products demonstrate the deep passion we have for this great hobby and the cars we love.”
