Editor’s note: The ClassicCars.com Journal will be covering all of the action during Arizona Auction Week in Scottsdale, Arizona. Check out our other coverage here.

This factory 1970 Oldsmobile 442 W-30 coupe offered by Barrett-Jackson at its upcoming January auction in Scottsdale has 81,000 original miles.

It was ordered from Olympic Oldsmobile in Chicago, Illinois, on October 1, 1969. Extensively optioned as ordered, it retains a performance axle package with heavy-duty radiator and W-30 performance package.

It’s powered by a 455cid 8-cylinder engine coupled with an M21 close-ratio 4-speed manual transmission, and is finished in Twilight Blue with matching vinyl interior.

It was the cover car and feature spread in the June 2018 issue of American Car Collector magazine, in which it was referred to as “the finest original and unrestored 1970 442 W-30 4-speed coupe in existence.”

This W-30 is incredibly original, with largely original paint, all-original interior, original matching-numbers W-30 engine and transmission with the original Hurst shifter. This 442 W-30 has accumulated only 6,000 miles since coming out of the original first owner’s care.
