To help celebrate Land Rover’s 70th anniversary, an inaugural Trans Terras “Land Rover love in” is being planned for the first Saturday of November at the famed and historic Paramount Ranch near Calabasas, California.
“It will be an informal organic event or what I’m calling a ‘Land Rover love in’,” event organizer Jared Zaugg said in an email.
Trans Terras, Zaugg notes, comes from the Latin for “across lands.”
According to the event website, Land Rovers (and other 4x4s) will gather from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Old West movie set at Paramount Ranch. The event is free “for anyone who owns or admires Lane Rovers and classic overlanders.”
Food trucks will be present beginning at noon for those who want to feed their taste buds while feasting their other senses on the assembled vehicles.
Though focused on vintage Land Rovers, the website notes that other classic off-roaders, including Unimog, Alfa Romeo Matta, Volvo Laplander, etc., are welcome, although all displayed vehicles need to be registered in advance. Registration information is available on the Trans Terras website under the “Entries” tab.
Bonhams, the auction house for which Zaugg does public relations, and Coolvintage, a Land Rover restoration specialist company, are co-sponsors of the event.
