This 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle LS6, also known as lot No. 728, comes with a lot of originals, including the original build sheet with a certificate of authenticity from Chris White and the VIN and trim tags.
It underwent a highly detailed and well-documented restoration in December. During the project, both White and another LS6 expert, Rick Nelson, were consulted.
The date-code-correct warranty replacement 454cid engine was completely rebuilt and is still paired with the original M22 4-speed manual transmission and 4:10 posi-traction 12-bolt rear end.
Restored factory original and date-code-correct parts were used throughout the car, including –- but not limited to — the engine, exhaust system, steering box and brake assemblies.
The factory dash, gauge cluster, seat frames, wheels, shocks, bumpers, brackets and hardware were also restored.
The coupe is finished in Astro Blue with white stripes. The car has a parchment bucket seat interior.
Barrett-Jackson’s annual Las Vegas auction is scheduled for September 27-29 at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.
