BMW only built 970 examples of the Z8 for the United States in model year 2001 and Lot. 751 at the upcoming Barrett-Jackson auction in Las Vegas is one of them.
Only 21,000 miles have been put on the all-aluminum chassis and body.
The Z8 has a 4.9-liter, 32-valve BMW Motorsports V8 under the hood that is capable of making 400 horsepower and 370 pound-feet of torque. That is mated with a six-speed manual transmission.
The car is finished silver and has a black leather interior.
Whomever presumably enters the highest bid for the Z8 will get a package of BMW goodies thrown in: A hardtop, stand, car phone, tools, first aid kit, owner’s manual, original documents and three sets of keys are included.
Barrett-Jackson’s annual Las Vegas auction is scheduled for September 27-29 at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.
