Lower ride height added to electric vehicle’s instant torque
You had to figure it was just around the corner and here it is, a performance-oriented suspension upgrade for an electric vehicle.
Eibach, the well-respected aftermarket producer of suspension upgrade equipment, has launched one of its Pro-Kit setups for the 2017-18 Tesla Model 3. The performance springs lower the center of gravity and, says Eibach, “increases steering response and improves vehicle dynamics for a sportier, more balanced feel.”
In addition, “the reduction in fender gap and ground clearance can also contribute to improved efficiency of the Model 3’s aerodynamic design.”
In other words, improved dynamic performance and better fuel economy, albeit electricity rather than gasoline.
Eibach says the Pro-Kit lowers the Model 3 by 1.2 inches front and rear.
The kit retails for $324.
